Hanoi is about to welcome one of its most anticipated luxury openings. Shilla Monogram Hanoi Westlake will welcome its first guests on 23 October 2026, bringing the South Korean luxury hospitality brand Shilla Monogram to Vietnam’s capital for the first time, with 319 rooms and suites, five dining venues and a rooftop infinity pool overlooking West Lake.

FAKTA

  • Shilla Monogram Hanoi Westlake opens on 23 October 2026.
  • The hotel has 319 rooms and suites, occupying floors 23 to 34 of a 35-storey tower in the Starlake district.
  • It is the fourth Shilla Monogram property worldwide, after Da Nang (2020), Gangneung in South Korea and Xi’an in China.
  • Five dining venues include Dining M, Pastry M, JINJI, HASUNGO and Bar M on the 35th floor.
  • The 35th floor also hosts the Monogram Lounge and an outdoor infinity pool overlooking West Lake and the Hanoi skyline.
  • The 700-square-metre Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 620 guests.
  • Address: 6 Hoang Minh Thao Street, Xuan Dinh Ward, Hanoi, about 25 minutes from Noi Bai International Airport.

Shilla Monogram Hanoi Westlake: a new luxury address

The hotel is located in Starlake, a 186-hectare urban district near the western side of West Lake, Hanoi’s largest natural lake. Starlake is emerging as an administrative, diplomatic and financial hub, close to the diplomatic area, embassies and international offices, while West Lake itself offers cafés, restaurants, historic temples and waterside scenery.

The hotel’s layered architectural forms reinterpret Vietnam’s traditional terraced rice fields in a contemporary way, combining The Shilla’s hospitality standards with local inspiration. Guest rooms occupy the upper floors, with views across the lake and the city.

Rooms, dining and rooftop leisure

The 319 rooms and suites include 258 Deluxe rooms of 42 square metres, designed with space for both work and relaxation, and two Signature Suites of 142 square metres on the upper floors. Dining M serves international cuisine with buffet offerings and live cooking stations, Pastry M offers handcrafted pastries and bingsu, JINJI specialises in premium Korean barbecue for dinner, and HASUNGO serves refined Chinese cuisine for lunch and dinner.

On the 35th floor, the Monogram Lounge, the outdoor infinity pool and Bar M come together as a rooftop destination overlooking West Lake and the Hanoi skyline. An indoor pool, fitness centre and spa complete the leisure offering for travellers looking to recharge between outings.

Meetings, events and a growing Vietnam presence

Beyond accommodation and dining, the hotel provides flexible meeting spaces and leisure facilities for a wide range of guest needs. The 700-square-metre Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 620 guests and can be configured for events of varying scales, connecting with a pre-function area, meeting rooms and a patio.

“Bringing Shilla Monogram to Hanoi marks an important new chapter for the brand in Vietnam,” said Edouard Lallemand, General Manager of Shilla Monogram Hanoi Westlake. “Whether guests are visiting for business, family gatherings or an extended stay, we hope each of them experiences the thoughtful service and distinctive hospitality of The Shilla, and leaves with memorable moments in the capital.”

The Shilla Hotels & Resorts is the hospitality business of Hotel Shilla, affiliated with Samsung Group. Shilla Monogram first launched in Da Nang in 2020, later expanding to Gangneung and Xi’an, and the Hanoi opening strengthens the brand’s presence in Vietnam, where it already operates Shilla Monogram Danang.

Conclusion

For Hanoi, the opening adds premium capacity in a developing part of the city, serving international tourists, business travellers and guests seeking a sophisticated stay. For travellers, it offers a new choice: a lakeside, upper-upscale hotel that combines Korean hospitality, Vietnamese inspiration and a rooftop view across one of Asia’s most atmospheric capitals.
