Fairmont New Orleans 100th hotel opens its doors

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, a global luxury brand part of Accor, announced the official opening of Fairmont New Orleans on 2 November, marking the brand’s return to the Crescent City after two decades.

Located in the heart of the Central Business District, within walking distance of the French Quarter and moments from Caesars Superdome, the 250-room hotel brings thoughtfully designed guest rooms and suites, destination dining and more than 19,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Inside the new hotel

Developed by Kailas Companies and operated by Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, the hotel occupies 17 stories of the former Bank of New Orleans building, originally designed in 1970. Interiors by Rockwell Group draw on the contrasts between New Orleans’ built and natural environments.

Dining includes Delmonico Steakhouse and The Café by Emeril, created in partnership with celebrated Chef Emeril Lagasse and The Emeril Group. The property also features Fairmont Gold, the brand’s exclusive hotel-within-a-hotel experience.

From early December, the hotel’s Gold Lounge, spa, all dining and drinking venues, including the rooftop pool and Bleu Perdu, along with the Third Measure cocktail bar, will be fully open.

A return after twenty years

The brand previously operated the historic hotel now known as The Roosevelt New Orleans, which closed under Fairmont management following Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The new opening therefore restores Fairmont’s presence in a city long associated with its history.

Reservations are available for stays beginning 2 November 2026 through the hotel’s official booking channels.
