PARIS – For three days this October, the world’s biggest luxury group will do something it almost never does: let the public in. The LVMH Journées Particulières 2026 will open 65 workshops, cellars, ateliers and family homes across 11 countries from 16 to 18 October, offering free tours of the hidden places where Louis Vuitton trunks, Chaumet tiaras and Hennessy cognac come to life.

FAKTA

  • Event: Les Journées Particulières 2026 – the 6th edition
  • Dates: 16–18 October 2026
  • Scale: 46 Maisons, 65 venues in 11 countries
  • Theme: Aux Racines du Rêve – “At the Roots of the Dream”
  • Access: free; most visits by online reservation in three waves (24, 28 and 30 September)
  • First launched: 2011; previous edition held in 2022

What Are the Journées Particulières?

Created in 2011, the Journées Particulières are LVMH’s open-doors weekend: a rare chance to step behind the scenes of the group’s Maisons and meet the artisans who embody their savoir-faire. Workshops, manufactures, cellars, family homes, archives and flagship boutiques throw open doors that are normally closed to everyone but craftspeople and clients.

This year’s sixth edition carries the theme At the Roots of the Dream – a return, in the group’s words, to the places where its Maisons take root, the territories that inspire them and the people who bring them to life. According to Galerie Magazine, the event was brought back sooner than expected at the request of the Maisons’ directors and their artisans: the last edition took place in 2022.

“This new edition reflects what deeply drives us: an uncompromising demand for quality in every aspect, the local roots of our Maisons, and the desire to share a living culture that belongs to each and every one of us,” said Antoine Arnault, LVMH’s head of Image and Environment.

Highlights: From Asnières to New York

In Paris, the headline openings read like a greatest-hits of French luxury. Louis Vuitton opens its historic workshops in Asnières-sur-Seine, where the House bought land by the Seine in 1859 and where saddlers, cabinetmakers and leatherworkers still craft rigid trunks and exotic-leather pieces by hand – alongside the Vuitton family home, redesigned in Art Nouveau style at the end of the 19th century.

At Chaumet‘s townhouse at 12 Place Vendôme, visitors can follow the birth of a tiara – the jeweller’s signature since it served Empress Joséphine. Founded in 1780 and the first jewellery house to settle on Place Vendôme in 1812, Chaumet opens its High Jewelry workshop and the listed Salon Chopin, where the composer wrote his final work.

La Galerie Dior stages a dialogue between flowers and haute couture, tracing Christian Dior’s lifelong passion for gardens from his first show at 30 avenue Montaigne on 12 February 1947 to today. And La Samaritaine – founded in 1870 and reopened after a sixteen-year restoration – offers dawn tours of its Art Nouveau and Art Deco interiors before the crowds arrive.

Several venues open for the very first time, including the Paris Match archives with 15 million photographs spanning more than 75 years, Moynat‘s leather workshops, Guerlain‘s Réserve des Sublimes, the Les Échos-Le Parisien newsroom and the Fondation Louis Vuitton, which pairs its Gustave Fayet exhibition with a behind-the-scenes look at how it was made.

Beyond France, the programme stretches from the Hennessy cooperage in Cognac and Veuve Clicquot‘s cellars to Tiffany & Co.‘s Bird on the Rock creation workshop in New York, Chandon‘s Napa Valley winery, Christian Dior’s Château de La Colle Noire, Casa Loewe in Madrid and La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton in Switzerland.

Luxury’s Charm Offensive

The open-doors weekend lands at a delicate moment for the sector. With demand cooling after the post-pandemic boom, LVMH has slipped out of Europe’s top ten listed companies, and investors are watching the group’s third-quarter results – due on 20 October – for signs of stabilisation. An interim dividend of 5.50 euros per share, payable on 3 December, keeps shareholders patient in the meantime.

Against that backdrop, the Journées Particulières look like a carefully aimed charm offensive: craftsmanship as the industry’s most persuasive argument. When shoppers question what a five-figure handbag really pays for, there may be no better answer than watching a saddler in Asnières spend hours on a single trunk. Full programme details and the remaining reservation options are published on LVMH’s official Journées Particulières page.

Conclusion

From 16 to 18 October 2026, LVMH turns its workshops inside out: 46 Maisons, 65 venues and 11 countries, all free to visit. Whether it is a tiara in the making at Chaumet, a trunk taking shape in Asnières or cognac ageing in Cognac, the sixth Journées Particulières offer the rarest commodity in luxury – a look behind the curtain.
